Senkyno

Terms of Service

Version of 30 October 2026

These terms set out the rules for using Senkyno: the website senkyno.com and the Senkyno app for Android. They apply to dog owners and to vets. How we process personal data is described in the Privacy Policy.

1. Provider and contact

The service is provided by Arkadiusz Baraniewicz, Einzelunternehmen (a sole proprietorship in Germany, not entered in the commercial register), Mittermayerstr. 6A, 85221 Dachau, Germany, e-mail kontakt@senkyno.com, phone +49 15163903689 ("we").

kontakt@senkyno.com is also the point of contact for users and authorities under Articles 11 and 12 of the Digital Services Act (Regulation (EU) 2022/2065). We write in Polish, English and German.

2. What Senkyno is and what it is not

  1. Senkyno is a health diary for senior dogs. You can record observations, weight, medicines and doses, events, quality-of-life ratings, photos and videos; it reminds you of medicines, shows trends, creates reports and lets you share a dog with caregivers and vets.
  2. Senkyno is not veterinary advice. It does not diagnose or treat and does not replace a visit to a vet. Trend hints are calculated automatically from your entries and may be incomplete or wrong. In an emergency, contact a veterinary clinic at once. You and your vet decide on your dog's treatment.
  3. A vet who uses the vet features does so as part of their own practice and under their own professional responsibility. We provide no veterinary services and are not a party to the relationship between owner and vet. Senkyno is not a system for the records a clinic is required by law to keep.
  4. The recommendations shop shows products and links to other companies' shops. We sell nothing; you enter into a contract with the shop, on its terms. Ask your vet before giving your dog a veterinary diet or supplement.
  5. The sample report and the sample dog contain made-up data.

3. Technical requirements

You need an internet connection and an e-mail address or a Google account, and either a current browser with JavaScript enabled (Chrome, Edge, Firefox or Safari) or an Android phone with the Senkyno app from Google Play. Some features (notifications, camera, microphone for dictation) only work if you allow them in the browser or the system.

4. Account and conclusion of the contract

  1. Senkyno is for adults (18 and over).
  2. You create an account by signing in with a Google account or with a link we send to your e-mail address. Before the link is sent you can check and correct the address you typed. Your first sign-in, after you have been able to read these terms, concludes the contract for using Senkyno for an indefinite period. You can correct your account data in the app later.
  3. The account is personal. Keep your Google account and mailbox secure and do not pass sign-in links on to others.
  4. An account has a type: dog owner or vet. A vet account is for people entitled to practise as a veterinary surgeon. A vet can ask for verification by giving their licence number (PWZLW) and clinic details, optionally with a scan of the licence. We check the number in the official register; a person decides on the verification. The verification badge only means that the number was in the register when we checked. We may refuse verification or remove the badge if the details turn out to be false or out of date.

5. Free of charge, and paid plans

Using Senkyno is free today. We announce a Premium plan as "coming soon". If we introduce paid plans, they will have their own terms, and you will see the price and all the information the law requires before any purchase. We will never charge you without your explicit order.

6. Your content

  1. The content you add (entries, notes, photos, videos, messages) remains yours.
  2. You grant us a non-exclusive, free licence to use it as far as needed to provide the service: storing, copying (backups included), processing (for example scaling photos, removing metadata, creating reports and PDF files), and showing it to you and to the people you share it with. The licence ends when you delete the content or the account, except for backups until they are deleted automatically and for content that stays with other people as described in the Privacy Policy (for example messages in a thread with a vet).
  3. Add only content you have the rights to, and do not infringe other people's rights, for example by posting photos of other people without their consent. Do not enter information about your own health or that of others.

7. Sharing

  1. You can invite a caregiver or a vet to a dog. A person who accepts the invitation sees the whole diary of the dog; a vet can also add visits and private notes. You can take access away at any time.
  2. By opening a clinic's link or QR code and confirming your choice of dog, you share that dog with that vet.
  3. Anyone who has a public report link can open the report, for 30 days or until you revoke it in Settings. It is up to you whom you send it to.
  4. A vet uses the data shared with them in Senkyno only to care for that dog and in line with their professional duties and data protection law; they are responsible for how they use it in their practice.

8. Acceptable use

You must not:

9. Reporting illegal content, and our decisions

  1. Anyone can report content they consider illegal to kontakt@senkyno.com. The report should give the reasons, the exact location of the content (for example a link), the reporter's name and e-mail address (not needed for reports of child sexual abuse material), and a statement that it is made in good faith. We confirm receipt, handle the report diligently and tell you our decision.
  2. We do not review content on our own initiative and do not moderate it automatically. If, because of a report or a breach of these terms, we remove content or restrict or block an account, we tell you why. You can appeal the decision to kontakt@senkyno.com; a person will review it. You may also go to court.

10. Availability and changes to the service

  1. We aim to keep Senkyno running at all times, but interruptions may happen, for example for maintenance or because of failures at infrastructure providers.
  2. We provide the updates, security updates included, needed to keep the service in conformity with the contract.
  3. We may change features for valid reasons: security, changes in the law or in providers' services, technical development or new features. A change costs you nothing and we inform you clearly about it. If a change impairs your access to or use of the service more than slightly, we tell you in advance, and you can end the contract free of charge within 30 days of the change.
  4. You can export your data at any time (Settings, or your profile in the app).

11. Liability

  1. We are liable without limitation for damage caused intentionally or by gross negligence, for injury to life, body or health, under product liability law, and wherever the law does not allow liability to be limited.
  2. For slight negligence we are liable only for breach of essential obligations, that is obligations whose fulfilment makes the proper performance of the contract possible and on which you may regularly rely, and then only up to the damage that is typical and foreseeable when the contract is concluded.
  3. Your statutory rights as a consumer if the digital service does not conform to the contract are not affected.
  4. We are not responsible for the content of other companies' websites that links lead to (for example shops or the search engine).

12. Ending the contract and deleting the account

  1. You can end the contract at any time, without giving reasons and at no cost, by deleting your account: on the website in Settings, "Delete account", in the Android app in your profile, "Delete account", or by writing to kontakt@senkyno.com from the address you sign in with. What happens to the data is described on the page Deleting your account.
  2. We may end the contract with at least 30 days' notice, for example if we stop running Senkyno; we will tell you by e-mail, and you can export your data in that time.
  3. For good cause, in particular a serious or repeated breach of section 8, we may block the account or end the contract without notice, usually after a warning. We will tell you why (section 9).

13. Right of withdrawal

If you are a consumer, you can withdraw from the contract within 14 days of its conclusion without giving reasons. A clear statement sent to the address in section 1 is enough (for example an e-mail to kontakt@senkyno.com); you may use the form below, but you do not have to. Sending the statement before the period ends is sufficient. You can also simply delete your account. The service is free, so withdrawing costs you nothing; after a withdrawal we delete the account and the data as when you delete the account.

Model withdrawal form

(*) Delete as appropriate.

14. Changes to these terms

  1. We may change these terms for valid reasons: changes in the law or case law, new features or changes to the service under section 10, security, or clarifying unclear provisions. A change may not reduce the main services to your disadvantage; such a change, including any fee, needs your explicit consent.
  2. We tell you about a change by e-mail or in the app at least 30 days before it takes effect and show what changes. Until that day you can end the contract free of charge by deleting your account. If you do not, and keep using Senkyno, the change applies from the stated day; we will remind you of this in the notice.

15. Complaints and contact

Send complaints and questions to kontakt@senkyno.com. Describe the problem and give your account's e-mail address. We answer within 14 days.

16. Governing law and disputes

  1. The contract is governed by German law, excluding the United Nations Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods. If you are a consumer whose habitual residence is in another country, you keep the protection of the mandatory provisions of that country's law (Article 6(2) of the Rome I Regulation).
  2. As a consumer you can sue us in the courts of the place where you live; we can sue a consumer only there.
  3. We are neither willing nor obliged to take part in dispute resolution proceedings before a consumer arbitration board (Section 36 of the German Consumer Dispute Resolution Act, VSBG). Taking part is voluntary for a business unless a law requires it, and none requires it of us. As a one-person business with 10 or fewer employees we are not even required to give this information (Section 36(3) VSBG); we give it for transparency. In a cross-border dispute, the European Consumer Centre in your country helps free of charge.

17. Final provisions

  1. These terms are available in Polish, English and German; all versions have the same content. You conclude the contract in the language in which you use Senkyno, and that version binds you.
  2. We do not store a separate copy of the contract for you. The current terms are always at this address, and you can save or print them; we send earlier versions on request. We have not signed up to any code of conduct.
  3. If a provision is invalid, the others remain in force, and the statutory rules apply in place of the invalid one.
